Let's travel to our cultural and historical treasures
Project name: Let's travel to our cultural and historical treasures, project number: 100736339
Main objective of the project: The project plans to conserve, reconstruct and repurpose the former rectory and parish garden in Krásná. The aim is to create an exhibition centre with a joint permanent exhibition/exposition Krásná/Oybin. Part 2 of the joint permanent exhibition/exposition will be created in Oybin in the historic building "Mortuary", in the location of the legend "Panenský skok" and in the area of the first castle gate.
Another goal is to implement joint activities aimed at supporting cultural heritage and creating transnational awareness of the cultural values of both locations.
A set of investment and joint promotional activities, linking both cultural monuments as a common tourist destination, and increasing the attractiveness of both places will lead to an increase in the number of visitors throughout the border region.

The project contributes to sustainable tourism by creating an innovative cross-border product – the Krásná–Oybin virtual trail, which connects over a dozen locations on both sides of the border and two cultural monuments: the parish church in Krásná and the castle with the Oybin monastery. Using augmented reality, the trail conveys both the tangible and intangible cultural heritage of the region.
The project also includes an exhibition located in the renovated rectory in Krásná, focusing on four neglected but common themes of intangible heritage. Here, too, augmented reality serves as an attractive tool to appeal especially to the younger generation of visitors.
Main project outputs:
- Restoration of monuments with a common identity: reconstruction of the rectory in Krásná and its transformation into a pilgrimage and exhibition center; conservation and access to the underground buildings of the Oybin castle and monastery.
- Virtual pilgrimage trail: connecting tourist sites in the less exposed landscape of the Nisa Euroregion through a digital route with AR content.
- Making intangible heritage visible: four thematic areas – wandering legends of the Jizera and Zittau Mountains, cross-border migration and its reflection in ceramics, romantic painting and the motif of pilgrimage, and pilgrimage sites as a cultural phenomenon.
