The rectory is still in a very authentic, almost intact condition, only partially disturbed by repairs in the 20th century and more recently, yet it still contains a large number of original historical building elements, which we want to preserve to the maximum extent possible. The rectory is unique in its overall preserved, only slightly disturbed authenticity of material and craftsmanship.
As part of the project Let's Travel Our Cultural and Historical Treasures, documentation was prepared for the reconstruction of the rectory. The building will be used in cooperation with the Saxon municipality of Oybin as an exhibition center. The documentation addresses not only the preservation and new use of the rectory, but also the adjacent parish garden. The reconstruction of the rectory will begin on the basis of the prepared tender for the selection of a construction contractor who will repair the rectory in the coming years at the expense of the Municipality of Pěnčín. The project is co-financed by the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund within the Interreg Czech Republic–Saxony program.
